New Product - TL 6400 LANDSTAR
One-Pass Seed Bed Preparation System

Introduction:

The new Krause TL 6400 Landstar is a unique five-step tillage system. It is designed to maximize crop yield potential compared to results from field cultivators or no-till systems due to uniform residue sizing, increased soil tilth and more consistent seed to soil contact. The Landstar's exclusive, concave shaped Star Wheels, provide an aggressive, rotary tillage action , that results in retention of a high percentage of residue cover.

Five Step Tillage System:
  1. Disc gangs equipped with shallow concavity blades, size residue. The 20" diameter blades feature an extra low 1 5/16" concavity. Disc gang angle is eight degrees for minimal lateral soil movement. Optional hydraulic adjustment is spring cushioned fro rock protection.

  2. Cultivator shanks thoroughly till the soil and mix crop residue. Shank spacing is 9" for optimum residue handling.

  3. Star Wheels cut clods, remove soil from weed roots and root crowns, level soil and recover residue, evenly distributing it in the seed bed and on the soil surface. The concave designed wheels are 16" diameter with cup shaped teeth for aggressive soil action. Spring mounted inpairs, each Star Wheel turns independently to prevent residue "wrapping". Ductile iron construction provides durability, even in rocky soils.

  4. High-residue tine harrows with individually sprung ranks, finish leveling the seed bed. Heavy-duty tines are 7/16" thick and 16" long.

  5. Spiral "flat" reel option reduces soil variability and firms the seed bed for improved planter performance.
