The Krause primary tillage series allows farmers to complete
their primary tillage faster and more efficiently. That's
because the Krause LandSaver and LandKing eliminate bouncing
and jumping to stay in the ground and do the the job. The
front shank beam is weighted to allow for better penetration
in the hardest ground conditions. Additional clearance height
is achieved by the stacked wishbone frame and A-Frame hitch
design. And, well-designed spacing means better flow-through
and less plugging. These features mean savings now, and better
root systems later.
The shank choice...
Spring loaded shanks provide flexibility with superior
strength and wear. The iron guide and heat-treated steel
bushing at the top of the spring holder reduce wear and
allow the shank to flex. Greater point loading is available
due to the nine-inch trip height.
Spring reset chisel shanks are designed with 14 inches
of trip height and 1200 pounds of point load. These shanks
are 2-1/2" x 1-1/4" x 32" edge formed and feature
three-piece four-or three-inch twisted points, or two-inch
straight points.
Parabolic subsoiler shanks (1-1/4" x 36")
mount on the rear beam. Better shattering of the soil profile
is available between the subsoil shanks-up to 16 inches deep.
Combinations of chisel and subsoiler shanks work to break
up deeply compacted layers of soil and maintain the appropriate
amount of residue to comply with conservation plans.
The coulter and disc gang adjustments are rocker shaft
controlled and spring cushioned. This prevents damage
to the discs or coulter blades-even in the rockiest field
conditions.
The Krause primary tillage tool series features ratchet or
hydraulic adjustment systems for disc gangs or coulter blades.
Blade or disc height ranges from point level to 12 inches
above the points. Walking tandem wheels are standard
on 11 and 13 shank models and optional on nine shank. In uneven
field conditions if one wheel sinks, the tandem action enables
the other wheel to carry the load and prevent bouncing or
jumping. The space between coulter gangs, disc gangs and shanks
allows residue to settle back onto the ground for better trash
flow through the shanks without plugging due to the distance
between each rank of shanks. |
