The Krause Landsaver Coulter Chisel allows farmers to complete their primary tillage faster and more efficiently, due to matching widths with horsepower and handling high residue levels through the machine. The front shank beam is weighted to allow for better penetration in tough soil conditions. Additional clearance height is achieved by the stacked wishbone frame and A-frame hitch design. And, well designed spacing means better residue flow and less plugging for money savings now and better root systems later. |

Krause coulter chisels feature a convenient fore-to-aft leveling system for all tractor drawbars. One simple ratchet jack adjustment provides consistent levelness for smooth operation, and is standard equipment on all sizes. The massive A-frame hitch utilizes cross members for additional strength and stability. |

Landsaver Coulter Chisels offer 22” diameter coulters on 8 inch spacing to efficiently size residue. Coulters feature hydraulic depth control via a rockshaft system. This system has built-in spring protection against obstacle damage in a depth range from level with the shank points to 12 inches above the points. Standard coulter blades are 6 gauge thickness with optional 1/4 inch. Coulter gang shafts are 1-1/2” diameter alloy for extra strength and feature Krause’s 6 inch ductile cast-iron spools. Trash bars are standard equipment on all coulter chisels. |
| Walking tandem wheels are standard on 11-21 shank models and optional on 9 shank models. In uneven soil conditions, the walking tandems smooth operation of the unit and eliminate the bouncing or jumping of competitor’s equipment. The spacious area between coulters and shanks allow the residue and soil to settle back on the ground for better flow through the shanks. With 32 inches of space between shanks on a double rank frame, heavy residue passes through without plugging. Overall the effective shank spacing is 16 inches between shanks for effective soil tilth. |

The single point hydraulic depth control adjusts the shank depth by a single hydraulic stop valve. Independent hydraulically controlled coulter depth is an efficient feature for non-stop farming. Racket jack adjustable coulter depth is optional equipment on 7-13 shank units. |

Spring Reset Chisel Shanks, also used on the Dominator, are designed with 14 inches of trip height and 1,200 pounds of point load. These shanks are 2-1/2” x 1-1/4” x 32” edge formed. |

Shear-bolt Shanks utilize an extra-heavy, rigid clamp mount and measure 1-1/4” x 2-1/2” x 32”. A breakaway bolt protects the shank and positive lock to keep the shank in the casting as it pivots to clear obstacles. |
A wide variety of points are available from Krause for the Landsaver Coulter Chisel, depending on soil type, residue levels and desired soil disturbance. For excellent penetration, 2 inch reversible straight points cut through compaction. 3 inch one piece twisted shovels also perform great soil penetration while mixing residue with soil. 4 inch one piece twisted shovels provide maximum soil and residue interaction for maximum breakdown and organic matter generation. 4 inch three piece twisted shovels are also available for the most economical replacement of points in high wear soil situations.

Krause’s K-Tine Leveler attachment utilizes K-Tine shanks to split the middles between the chisel shanks, resulting in a more level field finish to reduce spring tillage trips. The K-Tine Leveler features approximately 8 inches of vertical adjustment to fine tune to your soil and field conditions. |
