7400 Series "Flex-Wing"
Tandem Disc Harrow
3-Section 18-27ft.
|
 |
| Introduction and Features |
When we say Krause products are "Engineered
for the way you farm" we mean it. And the new 7400 Series
Flex-Wing Tandem Disc Harrows are a perfect example.
We've taken disc harrow design and performance to a new level
in the 7400 Series. Take a good look at the massive main and
wing frames... there's a foundation of structural steel strength
here ready to take on years of your toughest tillage. We back
these frames with a full three year limited warranty so you
can be confident you're buying the best.
7400 Series discs are available in 18' to 27' sizes and weigh
in at a maximum of 480 lb.. per ft. of cut. This is the optimal
weight for an all-purpose disc... just the right weight for
tough primary tillage work... yet with precision depth control
and flotation for technical seedbed or incorporation tasks.
The 7400 Series is available with 8" or 9 1/8" blade
spacing and a choice of 22" diameter or 24" diameter
blades. All 7400's boast an impressive array of standard performance
enhancing features including: Rock-Flex cushioned bearing
standards, walking tandems on the center section, single-location
remote depth control and 1 3/4" diameter alloy tie rods
to name a few. There's a lot more to the 7400 story... read
on to find out how the strength and performance of a new 7400
can boost your productivity. |
| The 7400's strength starts with this rugged
mainframe. 7" x 5" x 3/8 " main frame members
provide the rigid backbone needed for year after year of use.
One-piece center frame rocker shaft (with standard walking
tandems), eliminates the need for linkages between rockers.
Offset gang design provides a level field finish, the "trademark"
of a Krause disc, without the need for "middle busters". |
 |
| Self-leveling hitch features adjustable leveling
link for fore to aft leveling changes. Self-leveling mechanism
is spring cushioned for protection. Combination hitch means
you'll always have the right clevis. Optional Hydraulic leveling
lets you fine tune front to rear leveling from the tractor
cab. (See inset) |
 |
| The 7400's forward action wing wheels rotate
close to the front gangs for precise depth control and reduced
gouging in terraced or rolling conditions. This Krause design
advantage limits the need for optional front gauge wheels
that are necessary on other brands with wheel placement farther
from the front gang. Like the main frame, outer beams are
7" x 5". |
 |
| Reliability and Performance Features |
Krause's
heavy-duty walking tandem system smooths out rough fields,
and rough roads when transporting. You'll enjoy more precise
depth control and more stable discing with walking tandems.
This important feature is standard on the center section of
all 7400's and optional on wing sections of all models. Compare
the Krause design of mounting the massive "L" shaped
rocker shafts to both the inner and outer front to rear frame
beams, to competitive models that mount only to the outside
beam. The greater strength and added durability of the Krause
design is obvious. |
True
to Krause's commitment to long term durability, you'll find
no plastic components in our rocker pivots... only case
hardened steel pins with replaceable steel bushings. Krause's
lift system minimizes the amount of torque through the pivot
points with the hydraulic cylinders acting directly on the
wheel arms. With an occasional greasing you'll never need
to worry about replacing them! |
Side
to side leveling is easily fine-tuned with simple eyebolt
adjustments - one on each wing. |
