7300 Series "Flex-Wing"
Tandem Disc Harrow
3-Section, 18 - 34 ft.
|
 |
| Introduction and Features |
Krause raises the bar... again. The new
7300 Series Flex-Wing Tandem Disc Harrows are destined to
be the benchmark for the highly versatile, medium weight class
disc, much like their popular predecessors, the 3950 and 3990
Series.
In sizes from 18' to 34', the 7300's offer a wide range of
standard and optional equipment choices to match the specific
tillage needs of your farm. With a weight per foot of cut
at 430 lbs. maximum, the 7300 is tops in it's class. New option
choices include walking tandem wheels and hydraulic leveling...
productive additions with precision depth control and more
stable discing performance the benefit.
Choose from standard models with rigid bearing arms or Krause's
popular and rugged, Rock-Flex models with flexible C-type
bearing arms. All 7300's come equipped with 22" diameter
disc blades and a choice of 7 3/4" spacing for optimum
seedbed finishing, or 9 1/8" spacing for all around performance
and optimum penetration in primary work. And just like the
highly successful 3950 and 3990 Series which they replace,
the 7300 carries on the 17 degree front and rear gang angle.
17 degree gang angles give the 7300 unmatched performance
for residue sizing, soil mixing, herbicide incorporation and
field finish while reducing draft and compaction. And it accomplishes
all these tasks without the negative performance attributes
associated with "shallow concavity" blades as used
on some competitive brands. You'll find there's al lot more
to the 7300 story... read on to find out how this top performer
can boost your farm's productivity. |
| Take a close look at the 7300's frame design...
massive 6" x 6" main members impart strength and
rigidity. Look across the disc too... you won't find any unsightly
wing fold mechanisms to block your view in the field... clean,
uncomplicated, strong... all words that describe the new 7300.
One-piece center frame rocker shaft eliminates the need for
linkages between rockers. Of course Krause's overlapping gang
design provides a level field finish, the "trademark"
of a Krause disc. |
 |
| The 7300's self-leveling hitch features an adjustable
leveling link for fore to aft leveling changes. The self-leveling
mechanism is spring cushioned for protection . With the combination
clevis (see set), you'll always have the correct hitch. With
the optional hydraulic leveling you can fine tune front to
rear leveling from the tractor cab. |
 |
| Wing wheels feature a forward action that rotate
close to the front gangs for precise depth control and reduced
gouging in terraced or rolling conditions. This Krause design
advantage limits the need for optional front gauge wheels
that are necessary on other bands with wheel placement much
farther from the front gang. The model shown is equipped with
optional walking tandems on the center and wings. |
 |
| Reliability and Performance Features |
Walking
tandems are optional on the center and wings of 7300 Series
disc harrows. Walking tandems provide more precise depth control
and more stable discing... especially at higher field speeds.
Compare the Krause design of mounting the massive "L"
shaped wing rocker shafts to both the inner and outer front
to rear frame beams, to competitive models that mount only
from the outer beam. The Krause design easily handles the
stresses created by out of ground field turns. |
True
to Krause's commitment to long term durability, you'll find
no plastic components in our rocker pivots... only case
hardened steel pins with replaceable steel bushings. Krause's
lift system minimizes the amount of torque through the pivot
points with the hydraulic cylinders acting directly on the
wheel arms. With an occasional greasing you'll never need
to worry about replacing them! |
Side
to side leveling is easily fine-tuned with simple eyebolt
adjustments - one on each wing. |
