What is the PRO-system? PRO stands for Precision Residue
Opener System and good "stands" is what it's all
about. The BIG difference between the new Krause 5250
Pro-System No-Till drills and other no-till drills is in seed
depth control. PRO-System drills feature Krause's
exclusive, patented precision opener which utilizes
a 3" x 14" depth gauging wheel in front of the double-disc
opener, followed by an adjustable depth press wheel. The
drawbar pivots above the opener, allowing the gauge wheel,
opener and press wheel to traverse uneven ground while maintaining
precise control of seeding depth. The PRO-System
can give your no-till soybean or small grain crop the advantage
of consistent, accurate seed depth placement, improved seed
germination and even stand emergence... all critical factors
in no-till production.
 Krause 5250 PRO-System No-Till drills share the same rugged, dependable
features proven reliable on our 5200N Series No-Till grain
drills. Krause No-Till drills feature a "unitized"
design with the coulter beam mounted close to the openers
for accurate coulter-to-opener tracking in gradual turns and
on hillsides. The precision double-disc openers
are designed with a 5/8" leading edge for better residue
cutting and are adjustable for down pressure ranging from
160 lbs. to 250 lbs. per opener. Quick-adjust press
wheels fold and firm the seed trench around the seed for optimum
seed-to-soil contact.
