Precisely seed alfalfa at exactly the right depth or
plant soybeans, sunflowers, wheat or grain sorghum in conventional
or minimum till systems... all with the Krause 5200 mounted
drill! The 5200 Series mounted grain drills from Krause
were engineered and built to plant precisely in a wide range
of conditions. Krause offers a choice of openers to specifically
tailor the 5200's performance for your needs. The Precision
Opener model features Krause's patented opener with a 4"
x 12" front gauge wheel. This opener acts like a "walking
beam" and follows uneven terrain while precisely controlling
planting depth. The ability to control depth more precisely,
even at shallow planting depths, makes the Precision Opener
ideally suited for crops like alfalfa. In extreme no-till
conditions, the 5200 mounted drill can be teamed with a "coulter-caddy"
to provide full no-till performance. 5200 Series mounted grain
drills are available in 6", 7 1/2" and 10"
row spacing and 15 ft. or 20 ft. widths.

Krause's exclusive Precision Opener has the unique capability
of accurately gauging seeding depth even with shallow seeded
crops like alfalfa. A 4" x 12" chevron tread depth
gauging wheel mounts in front of the double disc opener, allowing
the opener to closely follow uneven ground without "bulldozing"
soil. In addition the front depth gauging wheel increases
opener flotation in soft or powdery soils... which results
in greater seed depth accuracy. The entire opener pivots in
the center, similar to a "walking tandem" axle. |
