4995
Series "Flex-Wing" Tandem Disc Harrow
3-Section, 27-35 1/2 ft. |
 |
| Introduction and Features |
A cut above the rest. That's what farmers
are saying that have pulled the all new 4995 Series Flex-Wing
Tandem Disc Harrows from Krause.
The 4995 is the result of over 83 years of manufacturing experience.
In sizes from 27'6" to 35'5", this high performance
harrow is ready for your toughest tillage challenges. Just
look at the massive main frame. Four front to rear beams provide
a massive foundations of strength for this rugged performer.
We're so sure of our frames we guarantee them a full three
years. * With an average of 470 lbs. per foot of cut, you'll
penetrate the toughest primary conditions or finesse the finish
on a seedbed.
And our confidence doesn't end with our frame design... Krause's
SuperSeal regreasable disc gang bearings carry that same three-year
warranty. Like all Krause discs, the 4995 sets the industry
standard for a level field finish with their overlapping gang
design. Choose from 8" or 9 1/8" blade spacing to
match your discing requirements.
All 4995's come standard with the industry leading Rock-Flex
cushioned gangs. If your fields have stones or other obstacles
order you 4995 as a Rock-Flex model with special ductile iron
spools and 1/4" thick blades. But there's a lot more
to the 4995 story... read on to find out how the strength
and performance of a 4995 can boost your productivity.
|
| The structural integrity of a disc harrow
begins with a brawny, welded, main frame. Take a good
look at the 4995's... four front to rear beams rather than
two like some competitive models. And there's plenty of structural
steel strength here with outer beams of 6" x 6"
x 3/8" material and inner beams of 6" x 4"
x 3/8". Even the center section rocker shafts are full
3/8" thick steel. Krause's offset gang design results
in a level field finish... with no uncut balk or need for
"middle busters." |
 |
| Over 7 feet long for unrestricted turns,
the 4995 hitch features standard hydraulic self-leveling.
The ductile iron tongue bolts into massive 3/4" thick
welded steel plates for rugged dependability. A deluxe, telescoping
jack that saves time and effort, is standard equipment. |
 |
| The 4995's forward action wing tandems rotate
close to the front gangs for precise depth control and reduced
gouging in terraced or rolling conditions. This Krause design
advantage limits the need for optional front gauge wheels
that are necessary on other brands with wheel placement farther
from the front gang. Like the main frame, outer beams are
6" x 6" x 3/8" and inner beams are 5"
x 4" for even weight distribution and residue cutting
penetration. |

| Reliability and Performance Features |
Krause's
heavy-duty walking tandem system smooths out rough fields,
and rough roads when transporting. You'll enjoy more precise
depth control and more stable discing with walking tandems.
This important feature is standard on the center section of
all 4995's and optional on wing sections of all models. Compare
the Krause design of mounting the massive "L" shaped
rocker shafts to both the inner and outer front to rear frame
beams, to competitive models that mount only to the outside
beam. The greater strength and added durability of the Krause
design is obvious. |
True
to Krause's commitment to long term durability, you'll find
no plastic components in our rocker pivots... only case
hardened steel pins with replaceable steel bushings. Krause's
lift system minimizes the amount of toque through the pivot
points with the hydraulic cylinders acting directly on the
wheel arms. With an occasional greasing you'll never need
to worry about replacing them! |
Side
to side leveling is easily fine-tuned with simpled eye-bolt
adjustments - one on each wing. |
