Single location remote depth control,
conveniently located at the front of the disc, makes it easier
than ever to fine tune depth adjustments. This system allows
the 4900 to return to the same depth after each pass. You'll
appreciate this easy to use feature that lets you make working
depth changes in a matter of seconds. A convenient hydraulic
transport lock valve is located next to the remote depth control
adjustment.
Super-strength frame is made of 3" x
5" steel tubing. Gang beams are the same size, and wing
gangs are filled with Krause's high-density iron granules
for more weight. Gang beams bolt to the underside of the one-piece
center and wing frames for greater strength and durability
than ordinary integrated construction with gangs welded to
frames.
Massive hitch is built for rugged field use,
with a large 4" x 4" steel center tube, and 2"
x 4" steel tube braces. That means extra-strength, especially
when turning. Two spring-cushioned leveling screws provide
front to rear leveling adjustment and protect the hitch and
frame in rolling terrain. A patented self-leveling
hitch is optional.
Overlapping front disc gangs create a smooth,
uniform field finish. The design was originated by Krause
to eliminate the center strip of untilled ground left by conventional
tandem discs. The uniform soil-mixing action also makes the
4900 ideal for chemical incorporation. |
