Landbuilder Disc Ripper

Features
|
| The Krause 4880
Series Landbuilder penetrates up to 16" deep, shattering
yield robbing compaction layers and improving soil moisture
infiltration. |
| Two
Sizes |
5
shank model (4885) with a 12'6" working width
7 shank model (4887) with a 17'6" working width |
Both Landbuilder models offer advanced features like
independently adjustable hydraulic disc gangs and heavy
duty walking beam tandem axles as standard equipment.
Krause's disc-shank-disc configuration results in a more
level field finish that requires fewer trips in the spring
for seedbed preparation. Using the Landbuilder for primary
tillage and following it with a Krause Landstar or Landsman
one-pass tool provides a Profit-Till system that saves precious
time, labor and trips across the field... while producing
an ideal seedbed!
|
|
The Landbuilder's massive main frame
features 6" x 6" x 3/8" outer members with
5" x 4" inner front to rear beams.
|
| Shanks beams are also constructed of 6" x 6" material.
Disc gangs cut and penetrate crop residue and offer a range
of working depth from 8" to 16" above the ripper
shanks. The massive spring reset ripper shanks (on 30"
spacing) penetrate up to 16" deep to fracture hardpan
and shatter compacted layers. Following the ripper shanks
the rear disc gangs blend soil and residue while leveling. |
 |
The Landbuilder's front and rear disc gangs are easily
adjusted for cutting angle. Front gangs offer a choice
of 15 or 20 degree cutting angle and rear gangs offer three
choices, 10, 15 or 20 degrees. Just think of the advantage
this provides over machines with "fixed angle" individual
discs or gangs. You control the amount of crop residue remaining
in the field. Adjustments are made quickly and easily with
the tie rod wrench provided on each unit. |
| Spring Reset Ripper Shanks penetrate
up to 16" deep and boast an impressive 3,000 lb. point
load and 22" obstacle trip height. Shank material
is 1 1/4" thick with a 4" profile. This massive
shank's 40 inches of underframe clearance aids in smooth residue
flow. The ripper shanks feature a standard 2 1/2" x 12"
subsoil point and replaceable chromium carbide wear bar. |

features a long, narrow design for interference free turning. |

A-frame Tongue Designs
|
|
Massive A-frame design incorporates an extra-wide connecting
beam to the main frame for added strength. Hitch is self-leveling
with turnbuckle adjustment for fine tuned front to rear leveling.
Handy hose end storage slots keep hydraulic tips up and out
of the dirt when unit is not in use. |

|
Built with the same components we use in
our heaviest disc harrows, the Landbuilder features shock
absorbing RockFlex bearing arms and triple-lip regreasable
Super Seal Bearings. For even more protection against
shock loads, the Super Seal bearings are encased in a 1/2"
thick rubber boot inside the ductile iron housing. Krause
factory assembled disc gangs feature heavy-duty 1 3/4"
diameter alloy tie rods, precision machined 11" ductile
iron spools and quality American made 24" disc blades. |
| Straight from Krause's
heaviest disc line, these big walking tandem assemblies are
standard on both 5 and 7 shank models. Extra-large 31"
x 13.5", 8-ply tires provide extra flotation in soft
field conditions. Wheel hubs and walking tandem assemblies
feature heavy-duty greasable tapered roller bearings for long
life. Walking tandems smooth out rough fields and keep unit
working level. |
 |
 |
The Landbuilder's rear disc
gangs offer three angle adjustment choices (10, 15 and 20
degrees), to control the amount of surface residue remaining.
Heavy-duty disc scrapers mount directly from the Rock-Flex
bearing arms and are angled rearward for excellent trash flow.
Scrapers are standard equipment on both front and rear disc
gangs. |
