Profit Till System
|
The
Krause Profit Till System is based on the principles of soil
tilth, crop residue management, plant food availability and
moisture management though proper and efficient tillage practices.
- Crop Residue Management
Residue management protects soil from erosion by minimizing
runoff from rainfall. Compaction is also reduced by the
protection provided by surface residue in heavy rainfall
and from residue incorporated into the soil by the separation
of soil particles. The 4830 Series In-Line Ripper provides
several choices of shanks, points and wings to accomplish
your residue management goals.
- Soil Tilth
Soil tilth, a term used to describe the amount of "pore
space" in the soil, is the most important element
of a healthy soil environment. Good soil tilth is a determining
factor of a plants potential for root development and
yield potential. Tilling with a 4830 Series In-Line Ripper
controls compaction and increases water infiltration and
holding capacity.
- Plant Food Availability
Good soil tilth is vital to improving nutrient availability
and utilization. A healthy, non-compacted soil environment
promotes the growth of a well developed root system.
- Seed Bed Conditions
Seed bed conditions are the last critical soil factor
to affect crop yield. Plants that get off to a quick and
healthy start have the best chance of reaching maximum
yield potential.
