Model 4231HR shown (31 ft.) |
Meet conservation tillage needs head on with a rugged new
Krause 4200HR Series Field Cultivator! The 5-Bar main frame
has a residue tolerant 125" of fore and aft clearance
with side to side shank spacing a minimum of 28" on models
with 7" shank spacing or 24" on models with 6"
spacing. Built with big 3" x 4" tubular steel frames
and massive 4" x 6" A-frame tongue beams, the 4200HR
Series is built to withstand years and years of rigorous use.
Working widths from 18 ft. to 45 ft., two shank choices and
seven available finishing attachments offer you the ability
to match a 4200HR specifically to the needs of your tillage
system.
The 4200HR is an excellent tool for herbicide incorporation.
Choose from 5", 6" or 7" shank spacing to match
your farming practices... from clean till to high-residue
minimum till systems. Evenly spaced shanks on the rear beam
ensure a level field finish. |

| C-SHANK
| TWO-PIECE K-TINE |
 |
Spring cushioned C-shanks are edge-formed and
feature a 9" trip height and 25" underframe clearance. |
 |
Two-Piece K-Tine shanks feature a rugged 1/2"
x 3" upper leaf spring with a 5/8" edge formed lower
shank to reduce draft and ridging. Two-Piece K-Tines are warranted
3 years against breakage! 180 lb. point load measured at average
working depth means these tough shanks run level even in untilled
crop residues. |
The 4200 HR's self-leveling tongue automatically levels the
unit when working depth changes are made. This feature also
keeps the unit level in transport position for added road
clearance. Fine-tune front to rear leveling with the handy
ratchet jack adjustment.
Krause 4200HR Series field cultivators feature a Mechanical
Depth Control system. The advantage of this system is the
elimination of unwanted depth change problems due to cylinder
leak downs. The mechanical depth control system carries
the cultivator weight at field depth position, not the hydraulic
cylinders. Adjustments are as easy as turning the depth control
knob and locking it in place on the center section and wings.
You'll be sure to appreciate the accuracy and years of reliability
built into this Krause design.
The 4200HR's A-frame, 4" x 6" tongue beams run
through the entire frame, not just to the first or second
shank beam like most competitors' models. This rugged
Krause design spreads turning loads over the entire frame
and resists frame bowing when working terraced or uneven ground.
Design features like these are the reason Krause products
last years longer than other brands, and make Krause tools
a smart investment. Heavy-duty, 3" x 4" frame members
are doubled at the rear of each frame section for added strength
with rear attachments.
Massive rocker shaft is over 6" in diameter on the center
section, with 4" x 6" wheel arms for big load carrying
strength. Wing rocker shafts are 4" diameter with 4"
x 5" wheel arms and rotate smoothly in replaceable cast
rocker bearings. Compare this to the non-replaceable "pipe"
rocker bearings used on some competitors' models. Walking
tandems pivot on long life Timken® bearings.
The 4200HR Series field cultivators were designed to help
you meet Conservation Compliance guidelines. A deep, five-beam
main frame, with five ranks of working shanks has a generous
125" from front rank to back rank. Shank underframe
clearance is a residue tolerant 25". Side-to-side shank
spacing is a minimum of 28". Computer designed shank
placements gives the 4200HR optimum residue flow-through characteristics.
Estimated residue remaining with 9" or 10" sweeps
on 7" spacing is 60% to 85%.
Models 4218 and 4223 fold to 11'8" width; all others
fold to 15'1". 5-Section Model 4241 shown. Note: Model
4237 five-section cultivator features an extremely low 11'8"
transport height. |
