Model 3994 WR shown (34ft. width)
|
| The new 3990 carries on the same gang angles
(17 degree) and weight class (average 375 lbs. per foot of
cut) of the highly popular Krause 3950 Series flex-wing discs,
but in larger 31 ft. and 34 ft. sizes. |
You'll appreciate the 3990's clean new look, with nothing
to block the operators view over the disc when working in
the field. Blade spacing choices are 7 3/4" or 9 1/8" and
you can choose from standard or Rock-Flex bearing arms. All
3990's come equipped with 22" diameter disc blades. The overlapping
front gang design results in a level, ridge-free field finish.
Changing operating depth is simple and precise with the 3990's
single location remote depth controls.
New heavy-duty square tube rock shafts feature depth control
cylinders that act directly on each wheel arm to greatly reduce
frame stress and torsion. Rocker shafts pivot smoothly on
1 3/4" diameter pins and hardened steel wear sleeves
for extended life with minimal maintenance. For fine tuned
side to side leveling simply adjust the "eye-bolts"
at the base of the wing cylinders. Dual wheels with heavy-duty
6-bolt hubs are standard equipment on the center and wings
of all 3990's.
The 3990's new tongue design is long and narrow for unrestricted
turning and the extra-wide rear beam reduces turning forces
imparted to the main frame. Self-leveling system automatically
levels the disc when working depth changes are made. Handy
turnbuckle makes fine-tuned adjustments quick and easy.
Massive main frame outer beams are a full 6" x 6"
and an additional 4" x 5" center beam imparts even
more strength and rigidity for years of trouble free discing.
Center frame gang beams add to this foundation of strength
with 5" x 3" x 3/8" structural steel construction.
Extra-strong wing frames feature 6" x 6" outer front
to rear beams and 4" x 6" inner front to rear beams
with generous cross bracing for even more rigidity. Krause
mounts the 3990's wing rocker shaft to both the outer and
inner front to rear frame beams for greater strength and resistance
to side loading during tight field turns. Optional Rock-Flex
bearing arms shown absorb shock and extend blade and bearing
life.
New hydraulic hose end holders
keep tips out of the dirt when not in use. |
