Krause wrote the book on hard
working heavy duty tandem discs... and the new 2480/2490
Series discs are the next exciting chapter. With a hefty 500-600
lbs. per foot of cut, these new models were born and bred
for serious discing. Innovative new rocker shaft design features
cylinders on each wheel arm and eliminates "turnbuckle"
linkages. Massive new walking beam tandem assemblies are standard
equipment on the 2480's and 2490's. Gangs are "pin stop"
adjustable to match gang angle to your specific tillage needs...
a Krause exclusive!
New rocker shaft design features massive 6" x
6" square steel construction that pivots smoothly through
hardened steel sleeves. Hydraulic lift cylinders (4) act directly
on each rocker shaft, greatly reducing frame stress and torsion.
A rugged new walking beam tandem assembly is standard
equipment on the center and wings of all 2480/2490 Series
disc! Huge 8-bolt hubs and 12.5L x 16" 14 ply tires are
also standard equipment. This is the most rugged walking tandem
in the industry!
Single location remote depth control makes it easier
than ever to fine tune depth adjustments. This system allows
the disc to return to the same working depth after each pass.
A convenient hydraulic transport lock valve is located next
to the depth control adjustment. |
